Workflow parity with existing tools
With each new BricsCAD release, we endeavor to deliver tools that increase BricsCAD's familiarity and improve common industry workflows so that new BricsCAD users can get started right away and productive quickly. Geo-Referenced Point Clouds - NEW
Users can benefit from geo-referencing of point clouds, and when geographic information is available, it is stored in cache and the "Geolocate" property can be used.
POINTCLOUDCOLORMAP - NEW
We have added a new X-Ray Colormap to help you visualize point cloud data with more clarity.
PEDITEXT - NEW
Use the Ctrl key to select polyline middle grips for editing.
MTEXT - NEW
Now, you can set text as sub or superscript at the click of a button!
SELECTIONCYCLING - NEW
The selection dialog, now supports multiple selections using the Shift or Ctrl keys.
Mechanical DWG Version Checker - NEW - BricsCAD Mechanical
BricsCAD now automatically checks the file version when you open AutoCAD Mechanical DWG drawings, with a ‘read-only’ mode to allow you to open and inspect drawings safely, helping you to avoid unsupported file versions
Easy-to-use and streamlined workflows
We've streamlined some of the most commonly used BricsCAD workflows to help you work better and faster.
Sheet Set Manager - NEW
You now have the option to open a model view directly from the Sheet Set Manager panel.
MATCHPROP - NEW
We Introduced the Match Properties tool in the built-in text editor so that users can match text styles between text fragments.
3DOFFSET - NEW - BricsCAD Pro's Civil & Surveying Toolset
The new 3D Offset command offsets Strings or 3D Polylines - both horizontally and vertically.
BIMUPDATESTORYHEIGHT - NEW - BricsCAD BIM – Unique to BricsCAD
You can change the story height in your BIM model while maintaining complete control over how each entity should behave.
Design data interoperability
We've added some new tools so you can use your design data more effectively by ensuring BricsCAD gives you the file type you need.
Support for KML/KMZ files - NEW - BricsCAD Pro Civil & Surveying Toolset
The GIS Import and Export commands now support KML / KMZ files, so BricsCAD users can export data from BricsCAD and display it in Google Earth.
IFCEXPORT - ENHANCED
BricsCAD BIM users can now export IFC data with the option for IFC4 Reference View file format, the certified output for IFC4.
Innovative, AI-driven capabilities
Some new AI-driven additions to BricsCAD V25.2 will help you accelerate your workflows even further.
Flip Entities (COPYGUIDED) - NEW - Unique to BricsCAD
The COPYGUIDED command now lets you flip entities along the same axis by pressing the Shift key or clicking the icon in model space.
Specify a Base Point (COPYGUIDED) - ENHANCED - Unique to BricsCAD
When you use the COPYGUIDED command, you can now pick a base point when the copied detail has at least one degree of freedom.
DWGHEALTH - ENHANCED
You can now view descriptions of routines directly in the DWGHEALTH panel without the need to enter edit mode.
High-performance Professional CAD
We know that you need reliable, high-performing CAD software to help you get your work done well and efficiently, so we have added some more tools to help you get where you need to, faster!
Interference Manager - NEW
The SCANINTERFERENCES command finds interferences between a set of selected solid entities.
RTISOLATIONSELECTION - NEW
You can isolate selected entities, 2D or 3D, during a 3DORBIT. BricsCAD displays the hidden entities when exiting the orbit command.
SLICE - ENHANCED
The SLICE command now displays a dotted line to visualize the cutting plane for improved accuracy and ease of use.
LIVESECTION - ENHANCED
The overall performance for drawings that contain a lice section is now up to 10 times faster in BricsCAD V25.2
