When you buy BricsCAD®, you have options: first, your choice of Permanent or Subscription licenses. You pay for a permanent license once- for example, V20- and you can use it as long as your computer can run it.
Subscription licenses are "pay as you go,” and your license will run as long as you pay. When you choose a Subscription license, you'll always have access to the latest version of BricsCAD... as long as you keep paying for it.
If you choose to go with the permanent (a.k.a. "perpetual") license route, we give you a choice to add Maintenance. Permanent licenses plus Maintenance are the least expensive way to get BricsCAD _and_ to stay updated with the latest versions. So what the heck is Maintenance?
What is BricsCAD Maintenance?
Maintenance gives you the security of a Perpetual license with four significant benefits:
1.) All Product Upgrades are Free
Maintenance customers always have access to the latest version of BricsCAD for a small yearly fee. It's the least expensive way to stay up to date with the newest release of BricsCAD. If you stop paying for Maintenance, your Permanent license will keep running -- but you will only get additional upgrades if you rejoin the Maintenance program.
2.) Priority Product Support
You probably already know how great BricsCAD product support is, but BricsCAD Maintenance makes our product support program even better! Maintenance customers move to the front of the product support queue automatically. We strive to deliver a 24-hour turnaround for all our Maintenance customers' support requests.
3.) Bricsys 24/7 for Design Teams is Free!
If you're signed up for BricsCAD Maintenance, you'll automatically get access to Bricsys 24/7 for Design Teams as a part of your agreement. You can store up to 1 GB and invite up to 20 users to share your designs. Need more storage? You can always upgrade to get more space for your data. 4.) Network licenses
If you want floating Network licenses, you must also sign up for BricsCAD Maintenance. This allows us to keep our licenses flexible and region-free in any country or region and gives your company all the support you need when you need it.
